Fireworks As President Federation Cup kicks off Today

The much-anticipated 2024 President Federation Cup Round of 62 matches will commence on today, May 1, 2024 with the biggest of the preliminary stage between Kano Pillars and Rangers International of Enugu billed for Thursday at Bwari Mini Stadium, Abuja

This is even as women teams will be on holiday but will later join in the Round of 32 when the men will also be fighting for slots in the Round of 16.

Expectedly, Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) announced 12 cities as centers for the Round of 64 matches including

Abuja, Kaduna, Owerri, Lafia, Awka and Enugu. Also, Benin City, Ibadan, Asaba, Ilorin, Aba and Kano are the centres to host the 32 matches, which will then produce the candidate-teams for the Round of 32.

Prompt News reports that no fewer than 19 matches will take place on Wednesday across Nigeria while the remaining games will be played on Thursday to conclude the Round of 64.
