Matchday 13 of the Nigeria Women Football League Premiership lived up to expectations on Wednesday, April 1, as teams across various centres battled fiercely for crucial points.

Fans were treated to an exciting round of fixtures filled with dramatic moments, stunning goals, and standout individual performances.

In Uyo, Ibom Angels secured a hard-fought 1-0 victory over Rivers Angels, thanks to an early strike from Mariam Okocha in the 7th minute. The slim lead proved enough as Ibom Angels held firm to claim maximum points.

At Aba, Abia Angels delivered a commanding 2-0 win against Nasarawa Amazons. Winner David opened the scoring in the 36th minute before Chinaza Enuma doubled the advantage shortly after the break, sealing an impressive home victory.

Over in Ibadan, it was heartbreak for Pacesetter Queens, who fell 1-0 to Bayelsa Queens. Glory Edet emerged the hero with a late winner in the 80th minute, handing Bayelsa Queens a vital away triumph.

In Makwada, Adamawa Queens and Edo Queens shared the spoils in a dramatic 1-1 draw. Edo Queens took the lead through Atume Doosuur in the 82nd minute, but a last-gasp penalty converted by Katon Waken ensured Adamawa Queens snatched a point.

Meanwhile in Owerri, Heartland Queens put in a dominant display to defeat Naija Ratels 2-0. Faith Samson opened the scoring from the penalty spot in the 24th minute, before Oluebube Umejiaku added a second to secure a comfortable win.

In Lagos, FC Robo Queens continued their fine form with a 2-0 victory over Dannaz Ladies. Early goals from Opeyemi Ajakaye and Esther Onyenezide ensured the hosts cruised to victory.

At Iyamho, Confluence Queens edged past Delta Queens in a thrilling 2-1 encounter. Goals from Ijeoma Ibe and Marvelous Ebube gave the hosts a comfortable lead before Temitope Aweda pulled one back late for Delta Queens.

The most emphatic result of the day came in Ikenne, where Remo Stars Ladies produced a stunning 5-1 demolition of Osun Babes. Hannah Ibrahim starred with a brace, while Chiamaka Ojialor, Blessed Isigbo, and Kehinde Deborah all found the net in a ruthless attacking display. Ebunoluwa Akinola scored a consolation goal for Osun Babes.

With big wins, late drama, and crucial points secured, Matchday 13 has further intensified the race across the league.
