‎Emiloju FC have been confirmed as one of the participating teams in the highly anticipated LaLiga EA Next Gen Draft, scheduled to take place in Lagos, Nigeria, from January 30 to February 1.

‎The prestigious grassroots football event, a collaboration between LaLiga and EA Sports, will be hosted at the Mobolaji Johnson Stadium, Lagos, in partnership with the Nationwide League One (NLO) and the Lagos State Football Association (LSFA).

‎Emiloju FC will line up alongside some of Nigeria’s most respected youth academies as they compete for a chance to be selected for a once-in-a-lifetime international football experience.

‎Speaking on the club’s participation, Emiloju FC Chairman, Alhaji Musiliu Jimoh Alao, expressed pride and optimism about the opportunity.

‎“This is a proud moment for Emiloju FC and our entire football family. Being selected for the LaLiga EA Next Gen Draft shows that our grassroots development philosophy is on the right path.

‎”Our players have worked tirelessly, and this platform gives them the opportunity to showcase their talent on a global stage.

‎We believe this exposure will not only inspire our boys but also elevate football development in our community,” Alao said.

‎Launched in 2024, the LaLiga EA Next Gen Draft is a global initiative designed to detect, educate and train young football talent across the world.

‎The project combines EA Sports’ digital innovation with LaLiga’s elite football experiences, creating pathways that inspire youth participation while strengthening community values through football.

‎Through this initiative, football events are organized across different territories to identify outstanding players who will emerge from the drafts held worldwide.

‎Selected players from the Lagos draft will earn the incredible opportunity to travel to Spain for 10 days, with all expenses fully covered, where they will immerse themselves in LaLiga and EA Sports experiences, train in world-class environments, and gain invaluable exposure to European football culture.

‎With the spotlight firmly on Lagos, Emiloju FC will be aiming to make a strong impression as the countdown begins to one of the most exciting youth football events of the year.
