The All Sports Supporters’ Club of Nigeria, under the leadership of its President, Barrister Johnson Dagana, has congratulated the Super Eagles on their impressive qualification for the Round of 16 at the ongoing 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) in Morocco.
The congratulatory message followed Nigeria’s thrilling 3–2 victory over Tunisia on Saturday, a pulsating encounter that showcased the Super Eagles’ attacking quality, resilience, and growing confidence in the tournament.
The win, coupled with their earlier 2–1 triumph over Tanzania in the group opener, ensured Nigeria booked an early place in the knockout stages of the competition.
In his message, Barrister Dagana praised the players, technical crew, and the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) for the positive start to the tournament, describing the team’s performances as a reflection of discipline, preparation, and belief.
“The Super Eagles have once again demonstrated why Nigeria remains a powerhouse in African football. Winning two tough matches back-to-back is no coincidence; it is the result of commitment, teamwork, and national pride.

On behalf of the All Sports Supporters’ Club, we congratulate the team and urge them to remain focused as the tournament progresses,” Dagana said.
The supporters’ club also commended the fighting spirit shown by the Eagles against Tunisia, particularly after the North Africans mounted a late comeback attempt.
According to Dagana, the ability to absorb pressure and still emerge victorious is the mark of a team ready to challenge for continental glory.
Meanwhile, the Deputy President of the All Sports Supporters’ Club, Alhaji Musiliu Jimoh Alao, who is currently leading the supporters’ contingent in Morocco, expressed immense pride in the Super Eagles’ display and lauded the electric atmosphere created by Nigerian fans in the stands.
Speaking shortly after the match, Alao said the players were clearly motivated by the massive support from Nigerians at home and abroad.
“What we saw tonight was the true Super Eagles spirit attacking football, confidence, and courage. Even when Tunisia pushed hard, our boys stood firm.
”The players appreciated the support from the stands, and you could see it in their determination. Nigerians here in Morocco are proud, and those at home should be proud too,” Alao stated.
He further assured the team of continued backing from the supporters throughout the tournament, stressing that the presence of the All Sports Supporters’ Club in Morocco is to inspire the players to give their best for the nation.
“We are here to support them every step of the way. From the group stage to the final, the Super Eagles will never walk alone.
”We believe this team can go far and possibly bring the trophy back home,” he added.
With two wins from two matches, the Super Eagles now look ahead to their remaining group fixture with confidence, as attention gradually shifts to the knockout phase of AFCON 2025.
The All Sports Supporters’ Club has urged Nigerians to remain united in support of the team, noting that collective belief and encouragement can play a crucial role in pushing the Eagles toward success.
As the tournament gathers momentum, Nigeria’s strong start has rekindled hopes of continental glory, and the nation’s supporters stand firmly behind the Super Eagles in their quest for AFCON success.
