Nigeria’s Super Eagles have made an impressive leap in the latest FIFA men’s world ranking, climbing four places to 41st position globally.
The latest standings, released by the Federation of International Football Association (FIFA) on Friday, reflect Nigeria’s strong recent performances under coach Eric Chelle, following back-to-back victories against Lesotho’s Crocodiles and Benin Republic’s Squirrels in their recent fixtures.
This progress also sees the three-time African champions break into the top five on the continent, sitting behind Morocco, Senegal, Egypt, and Algeria.
The improved ranking highlights Nigeria’s growing form and consistency as they continue preparations for upcoming international competitions.
On the global stage, Spain retain their place at the top of the ranking, while Argentina climb to second. France, England, and Portugal round out the world’s top five teams.
