‎It was a chaotic evening for Rangers Football Club as tensions boiled over following their disappointing result against Falkirk.

In the aftermath of the match, angry Rangers supporters — believed to be part of the club’s hardcore ultras — blocked the team bus outside the stadium, preventing players and staff from leaving the ground for nearly thirty minutes.

‎The players were effectively trapped inside the tunnel area, as security and police worked to disperse the crowd and restore order. Head coach Russell Martin was escorted across the pitch to a separate exit and required a police escort to safely reach his car and leave the stadium premises.

‎Just hours later, the club announced that Russell Martin had been relieved of his duties as Rangers manager. His sacking comes after only 123 days in charge, following a run of just five wins in 17 matches — a record that left fans frustrated and demanding change.

‎Sources close to the club revealed that senior management felt a managerial change was necessary to “stabilize results and calm rising tensions among supporters.”

‎The decision marks another turbulent chapter in Rangers’ recent history, as the board begins the search for a new head coach capable of steering the club back to form and unity on and off the pitch.
