Sunshine Queens FC of Akure, freshly promoted back to the Nigeria Women’s Football League (NWFL) Premiership, has announced the appointment of Roseline Obamuyi as the club’s new Team Manager.
Obamuyi, a devoted, calm, and result-oriented football administrator, is no stranger to the Sunshine Queens family.
Over the years, she has served in different capacities including Curator, Welfare, Coordinator, and Secretary of the club, roles in which she distinguished herself with commitment and diligence.
Her appointment comes at a crucial moment, as the Akure-based side prepares to re-establish itself among the elite of Nigerian women’s football. Sunshine Queens, it will be recalled, made history in 2015 when they lifted the prestigious Federation Cup under the tutelage of Coach Kayode Olujohungbe , the only major football trophy won for Ondo State since its creation.
Obamuyi, who hails from Ugbo Kingdom in Ilaje Local Government Area of Ondo State, is expected to bring her wealth of experience to bear in stabilizing the team and fostering unity within the squad.
She replaces Kehinde Odogun , the erstwhile Team Manager, who has now been appointed as the State Coordinator of Rising Stars Football Academy.
Roseline Obamuyi’s appointment takes immediate effect.
