‎The gathering will bring together delegates and representatives from the 36 clubs that have qualified to participate in the 2025/2026 NNL season.

‎At the AGM, the league’s format and operational framework for the new season will be deliberated upon. Rules and regulations guiding participating clubs will also be reviewed and ratified to ensure a smooth and competitive campaign.

‎NNL Chairman, Chief George Aluo, underlined the importance of the meeting, stressing that it provides a platform for meaningful interaction with all the clubs. According to him, the AGM offers an opportunity to assess the successes and challenges of the past season while laying down strategies for improvements.

‎“With the mandate to ensure the season starts and ends on specific dates, the NNL is determined to stay closely aligned with the current calendar of the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL),” Aluo stated.

‎His Excellency, Senator Uba Sani, Governor of Kaduna State, will serve as Chief Host and Special Guest of Honour. He is expected to formally declare the AGM open.

‎He will be accompanied by the Kaduna State Commissioner for Sports Development, Professor Benjamin Kumai Gugong, and the Commissioner for Local Government Area Matters, Hon. Sadiq Mamman-Lagos.

‎The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) will also be strongly represented. NFF President, Alhaji Ibrahim Musa Gusau, is expected to attend alongside the federation’s General Secretary, Dr. Mohammed Sanusi, and Executive Committee Member, Babagana Kalli, who also serves as Chairman of the NFF Match Commissioner and Security Committees.

‎The AGM is seen as a vital step in preparing for the 2025/2026 NNL season. With crucial decisions on scheduling, league operations, and club responsibilities expected, the meeting will set the tone for what promises to be an exciting campaign in Nigeria’s second-tier football league.
