Sunshine Queens And 16 Other Teams Set For NWFL Championship Draw

The Nigeria Women Football League (NWFL) is set to unveil the groupings for the 2025 NWFL Championship today, September 3, 2025.
The official draw ceremony will take place at 1:00 PM at the NWFL Secretariat Office in Abuja.
17 clubs, including Sunshine Queens of Akure, will be drawn into four groups to battle for four promotion spots to the NWFL Premiership.
The championship is scheduled to hold from September 11 to 21, 2025, in Abia State, with matches played at Abiriba Stadium and Umuahia Township Stadium.
The winners of each group will secure automatic promotion tickets to the 2025/2026 NWFL Premiership season.
The draw will be conducted online and streamed live to guarantee wider access and transparency.
