Nigerian Striker Cyriel Dessers Makes Move To Greek Giants Panathinaikos

Nigerian striker Cyriel Dessers has officially joined Greek heavyweights Panathinaikos from Rangers on a three-year contract.
The transfer was confirmed by Rangers in a statement on transfer deadline day.
During his time with Rangers, Dessers scored 52 goals in over 100 appearances, winning a League Cup and finishing as the SPFL Premiership’s top scorer. He also claimed the prestigious Sam English Bowl award.
Dessers will now join his Super Eagles teammates ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers against Rwanda and South Africa in Group C. The matches are scheduled for:
Super Eagles vs. Rwanda at the Godswill Akpabio Stadium in Uyo on the 6th of September while South Africa vs. Super Eagles will be held in Bloemfontein on September 9th
The transfer fee for Dessers’ move to Panathinaikos is reportedly around £3.5m, with the striker agreeing to a three-year deal. He will wear the number 33 jersey at his new club.
