‎Nigeria’s reigning champions, D’Tigress, have secured a spot in the quarter-finals of the 2025 Women’s AfroBasket in Cote d’Ivoire.

‎They will face either Cameroon or Angola, depending on the outcome of the round of 16 match between the two teams.

‎D’Tigress topped Group D with two wins from two matches, defeating Mozambique 60-55 in their second game and Rwanda 92-45 in their opening match.

‎Their impressive performance has set them up for a quarter-final match against the winner of the Cameroon-Angola encounter.

‎Cameroon finished second in Group B after recording one win and one defeat. They edged out South Sudan 70-63 but lost to group winners Mali 75-49.

‎Angola, on the other hand, progressed to the knockout round despite losing their two Group A fixtures to hosts Côte d’Ivoire and Egypt.

‎The quarter-final match between D’Tigress and the winner of Cameroon-Angola is scheduled for after the round of 16 matches.

‎D’Tigress are aiming for their seventh title, having won the last four editions of the AfroBasket. Only Senegal have won more titles, with 11.

‎Senegal, the team with the most AfroBasket titles, will face Rwanda in the round of 16. If they win, they will meet Côte d’Ivoire in the quarter-finals.
