Ajibade, Okoronkwo, Nnadozie And Alozie Make WAFCON 2024 Best XI  ‎

‎The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has released the Best X1 of the 2024 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations, and Nigeria’s Super Falcons have made a strong impression with four players featured in the selection.

‎Rasheedat Ajibade, Esther Okoronkwo, Michelle Alozie, and Chiamaka Nnadozie are the quartet who have been recognized for their impressive performance in the competition.

‎Captain Rasheedat Ajibade led by example, scoring once and providing two assists in the tournament.

‎ She won three Woman of the Match awards and was also named the Most Valuable Player of the Tournament. Ajibade’s leadership and skill on the field were instrumental in Nigeria’s triumph in the competition.

‎Esther Okoronkwo played a pivotal role in Nigeria’s success, registering two goals and six assists in six appearances. She also won two Woman of the Match awards, showcasing her impressive skills and contribution to the team’s victory.

‎Goalkeeper Chiamaka Nnadozie kept four clean sheets in the competition and was named the best goalkeeper of Morocco 2024. Her exceptional performance between the posts was a crucial factor in Nigeria’s success.

‎Michelle Alozie, a defender for Houston Dash, was recognized as the best right-back in the tournament. She made five appearances for the Super Falcons in Morocco, showcasing her speed and skill on the field.

‎Banyana Banyana of South Africa have three players in the selection: Karabo Dlamini, Bambanani Mbane, and Refiloe Jane. Hosts Morocco contributed two players: Ghizlane Chebbak and Ibtissam Jiraidi, while the Black Queens of Ghana also have two players on the list: Portia Boakye and Grace Asantewaa.
