Super Falcons captain Rasheedat Ajibade has taken to social media to thank fans, teammates, and Nigerians for their support after helping Nigeria secure its 10th WAFCON title.
Ajibade was named the Most Valuable Player of the tournament, a testament to her outstanding performance.
In an emotional post on her Facebook page, Ajibade expressed her gratitude and pride in her teammates, saying:
“We did it! Mission X accomplished! Words can’t fully express what this moment means.
”This isn’t just our 10th WAFCON trophy, it’s a testament to the relentless spirit of this team.” She went on to thank the fans, saying they were the team’s “12th player” and that their cheers and support pushed them to the very end.
Ajibade also expressed her pride and appreciation for her teammates, saying:
”To my sisters, my teammates, I’m so incredibly proud of every one of you.
”We did it together against all odds.”
She dedicated the win to young girls with dreams, urging them to hold on to their passion and work hard, knowing that their time is coming.
