Kano Pillars Football Club has announced the appointment of Ogenyi Evans as the new Head Coach of the team ahead of the 2025/2026 Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) season.
Evans takes over from Usman Abdullah, who recently parted ways with the club on mutual terms.
Ogenyi Evans is a seasoned coach with a wealth of experience in Nigerian football. He previously managed Rivers United and has also had stints with Warri Wolves and Jigawa Golden Stars.
Notably, Evans has worked with Kano Pillars before, leading the team when they were in the Nigeria National League in 2022.
Evans holds a CAF License A coaching certification, which is a testament to his expertise and knowledge of the game.
With his extensive experience and coaching credentials, Evans is well-equipped to lead Kano Pillars to success in the upcoming season.
Ogenyi Evans will assume his duties as Head Coach of Kano Pillars with immediate effect.
While details of his contract and compensation package will be communicated in due course, Evans is expected to hit the ground running and start preparing the team for the challenges ahead.
