Bayern Munich Signs Nigerian Striker Edna Imade

‎FC Bayern Munich Women has announced the signing of Nigerian striker Edna Imade from Spanish Liga F outfit Granada.

‎Imade has signed a four-year contract with the German giants, but will initially be loaned out to Spanish club Real Sociedad.

‎The 24-year-old striker had an impressive season in Spain, finishing as the second-highest scorer in the league with 16 goals in 29 appearances.

‎ She was also included in the La Liga Women Team of the Season.

‎”I am incredibly happy and proud to have signed my contract with FC Bayern Women,” Imade said. “With its history, the club is one of the biggest and most important clubs in the world. I am therefore delighted to be a part of the club in the future and to contribute to its successes.”

‎Imade described herself as a versatile player who can play as a center forward or on the wings. She highlighted her strengths in the air and in finishing, and emphasized her commitment to being a complete team player.

‎Bianca Rech, director of FC Bayern Women, eulogized Imade and expressed her expectations for the player. “Edna brings an exciting profile – she is fast, physically strong, and versatile in attack,” Rech stated. “After her strong season in Spain, we want to continue to support her positive development.”
