Former Nigeria international Desire Oparanozie has called on the Super Falcons to work on their finishing skills after a 3-0 win over Tunisia in their WAFCON 2024 opener.

Despite the convincing victory, Oparanozie noted that the team had numerous goal-scoring opportunities that were not converted.

“It was a convincing win, 3-0, but we had more goal-scoring opportunities than we actually scored, we can work on that area,” Oparanozie said.

She praised the team’s defense and midfield for their dominant display but emphasized the need to improve the final touches.

The Super Falcons will face Botswana in their second group game, seeking to build on their momentum and improve their goal-scoring record.

The teams have met once before in the WAFCON group phase, with Nigeria winning 2-0 in 2022.
