NNL Super 8:Kun Khalifat and Osun United Joint Top Of Southern Conference

The Nigeria National League (NNL) Super 8 kicked off on Saturday with Kun Khalifat FC and Osun United securing wins to take the top spots in the Southern Conference.
These victories have boosted their hopes of promotion to the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL).
Kun Khalifat FC made a strong statement in their Super 8 debut, defeating Crown FC 1-0 at the Stephen Keshi Stadium in Asaba. Ahiaeke Chijioke scored the decisive penalty in the 6th minute after Crown FC’s goalkeeper fouled a Kun Khalifat attacker in the box. Kun Khalifat’s solid defense held strong throughout the match, denying Crown FC an equalizer.
In the day’s second match, Osun United stunned tournament hosts Warri Wolves with a 1-0 win, courtesy of Odeyemi Ebenezer’s first-half goal. Despite being favorites on home soil, Warri Wolves couldn’t breach Osun United’s defense.
This win puts Osun United joint top of the Southern Conference with Kun Khalifat, both having three points.
