WAFCON 2024: CAF Set To Unveil New Trophy In Morocco

The Confederation of African Football (CAF) is set to unveil a new trophy ahead of the 2024 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON), which will take place in Morocco.

 

The launch is scheduled for Wednesday, July 2, 2025, in Morocco.

 

 

The new trophy will be revealed digitally on CAF’s official platforms in the afternoon, followed by an activation event in partnership with title sponsors TotalEnergies later that evening.

 

This move is part of CAF president Dr. Patrice Motsepe’s vision to grow and develop women’s football in Africa.

 

The 2024 WAFCON will feature 12 countries and run from Saturday, July 5 to Saturday, July 26, 2025.

 

The tournament will kick off with hosts Morocco taking on Zambia at the Olympic Stadium in Rabat. Banyana Banyana of South Africa are the current holders of the competition.
