Kwara United U-19 team emerged champions of the inaugural edition of the National Youth League after a thrilling 3-2 victory over Atlantic Business Football FA at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena, Onikan, Lagos, on Sunday.
The junior Harmony Boys got off to a flying start as Yusuf Kareem opened the scoring in the 7th minute, setting the tone for what would become a historic day for the team.

Atlantic Business pulled two goals back following impactful substitutions, but Kwara United held firm to secure the trophy

While goalkeeper Sheriff clinched the Best Goalkeeper award
Mohammed Abdullahi was voted Most Valuable Player (MVP) of the tournament

Kwara State Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq was among the dignitaries present at the final, who personally presented medals to both the winners and runners-up, further highlighting the importance of youth development in sports.
