Al Ahly’s journey in the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup came to an end after a thrilling 4-4 draw with FC Porto in Group A, reports Sportsgister.com

Despite a late surge, the Egyptian super club couldn’t secure the win needed to advance to the Round of 16.

The Palestine national team striker Wessam Abou Ali scored a hat-trick, including a penalty kick, but it wasn’t enough for Al Ahly to secure a spot in the next round.

The game was a heavyweight bout, with both teams exchanging blows and scoring goals in quick succession.

Porto’s Pepê scored a late equalizer in the 89th minute, confirming Al Ahly’s elimination from the tournament.

Palmeiras and Inter Miami qualified for the Round of 16 as group winners, while Al Ahly finished last in the group due to goal difference.

Both teams finished with two points, but Al Ahly’s inferior goal difference meant they were eliminated from the competition.
