Sunshine Queens, Osun Babes Play Out Thrilling 1-1 Draw

In a preparatory friendly ahead of the 2025 Nigeria Women Football League (NWFL) Championship playoffs, Sunshine Queens and Osun Babes shared spoils in a 1-1 draw at the Oda Game Village in Akure.
Osun Babes took the lead through Victory Odanlumen’s well-taken goal in the 69th minute.
Sunshine Queens equalized in the 81st minute with Precious Edewor’s expertly converted free kick.
Sunshine Queens’ head coach, Rafiu Oseni, praised both teams’ performance and highlighted areas for improvement, including converting scoring chances and winger delivery.
He emphasized the importance of friendly matches in building team confidence and requested additional friendlies to fine-tune the team ahead of the playoffs.
