The promotion of AC Oulu back to the Finnish Veiskkuliiga may have been greeted with mixed reactions no thanks to their last place on the log after series of poor showings in recent week, but a certain Spencd Silas is poised to drag the Raati based outfit up from the depth.
The gifted attacking midfielder having shone brightly after coming on as a substitute in the suommen cup and was shockingly left on the bench as an unused substitute during the visit of IF Gnistan, a game that AC Oulu narrowly lost 3-2- subsequently giving the Raamati Stadium faithfuls a huge reason for concern. Obviously a puzzle left for head coach Mikko Isonkangas to solve.
During his early days with Jewels Football Academy, an ohanze soccer based outfit he was literally the poster boy who over the years had mind blowing performances leaving opposition players and coaches in awe of his blistering displays, a scenario which characterised his upward trajectory and was a pointer to gracing the global stage defying the surmounting challenges.
The quest to redressing the fortunes of a struggling AC Oulu in the Finnish Veikkuliiga could be lying heavily on the shoulders of the young Nigerian midfield wizard Spencer Silas as he hopes to improve his reputation this weekend with the visit of 9th placed IFK Mariehamm to the Raamati Stadium.
As the Raamati faithfuls earnestly yearn for the return of one of their favourites back to the staring lineup for the weekend’s clash against visiting IFK Mariehamm, the onus of responsibility and choice making falls heavily on head coach Mikko Isonkangas by handing the gifted 20-year-old Nigerian a starting berth-an opportunity the young midfielder would embrace with open arms as he is poised to stamp his name as one of the revelations of the ongoing Finnish Veikkuliiga.
With Spencer Silas’ name on the books of AC Oulu, salvation and excitement is within touching distance for the Raamati Stadium faithfuls.
