Super Eagles of Nigeria this evening defeated Rwanda by two goals to nil in a crunch world cup qualifying match.

 

Having picked three points from the previous four games, Nigeria knew victory over Rwanda was non-negotiable.

 

Victor Osimhen fired home the opener in the eleventh minute of the game.

 

The 2023 African player of the year doubled the lead in the first half stoppage time.

 

Victor Osimhen has now scored 25 goals this season for club and country.

 

The victory has catapult Nigeria to fourth on the log with 6 points,four points adrift of table toppers who beat Lesotho by 2 goals to nil.

 

Nigeria will face Zimbabwe in Uyo on Tuesday in another crucial world cup qualifying match
