The newly rehabilitated and upgraded Makwada Stadium in Numan has officially been approved by the Nigeria National League (NNL) as the venue for Adamawa United’s home matches.
Previously, the team had been forced to play their home games in Gombe and Bauchi due to the poor state of facilities in the state hence the rehabilitation of Makwada Stadium by the MCRP.
The State Project Coordinator of the Multi-Sectoral Crisis Recovery Project (MCRP) Adamawa Project Coordination Unit, Dr. Maurice Vunobolki FCA highlighted that this development will not only complement the Adamawa State Government’s efforts in sports development but will also boost the morale of the players who will now have the opportunity to compete on their home turf.
Makwada Stadium, Hong and Gulak are the three modern sports Centres upgraded and constructed in the state by the MCRP to promote social cohesion and community development as well as harness future talents.
This development will no doubt place Adamawa State on the map, Dr. Maurice added.
