Nigerian winger Chidera Ejuke was the savour on Sunday night as Sevilla pipped hosts Real Sociedad by a lone goal.
After a goaless first half,Ejuke curled the only goal of the match after being fed by Sevilla skipper Saul.
The goal was Ejuke second of the season
He was substituted in the final 20 minutes as Sevilla sought to protect their narrow lead, with Juanlu Sánchez coming on in his place.
Ejuke’s recent form has earned him a place in Nigeria’s 39-man provisional squad for the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers against Rwanda and Zimbabwe
Sevilla have now gone four games unbeaten.
The win has moved Sevilla to 10th position on the log with 36 points
