The maiden edition of the LVG Inter-Church Football Tournament 2025, organized by Light Vision Global (LVG), concluded with stellar performances and thrilling matches.
The grand finale took place at Odogbo Barracks Stadium, Ojoo, Ibadan, the capital city of Oyo State, on Saturday, March 1, 2025.
The day began with medical checkups for all players at 8:00 AM, followed by the opening ceremony. The third-place playoff featured CCC Rainbow Cathedral against RCCG Pentecost Zone.
Both teams fought hard throughout the 90 minutes, but neither could break the deadlock, resulting in a goalless draw. The match was decided by a penalty shootout, where CCC Rainbow Cathedral emerged victorious with a 4-3 win.
Grand Finale: CCC Rehoboth Cathedral vs. CAC Araromi Olorunsogo
The highly anticipated final between CCC Rehoboth Cathedral and CAC Araromi Olorunsogo kicked off in an electrifying atmosphere. Rehoboth Cathedral dominated the match with relentless attacks from both flanks.
A dynamic duo, Tijani Oluwaseyi and Shittu Ibrahim, put constant pressure on CAC Araromi Olorunsogo’s defense. The breakthrough came in the 15th minute when Shittu Ibrahim scored a brilliant goal to give Rehoboth Cathedral the lead.
Despite several missed scoring opportunities—including a penalty kick that Shittu Ibrahim failed to convert—Rehoboth Cathedral held onto their 1-0 lead at halftime.
The second half saw continued dominance from Rehoboth Cathedral, but they struggled to extend their lead, squandering multiple chances. Ultimately, the match ended 1-0, crowning CCC Rehoboth Cathedral as champions.
Prize Presentation
3rd Place: CCC Rainbow Cathedral received a ₦200,000 cash prize.
2nd Place: CAC Araromi Olorunsogo was awarded ₦300,000.
Champions: CCC Rehoboth Cathedral took home ₦500,000 and the tournament trophy.

Golden Boot Winner: Shittu Ibrahim (CCC Rehoboth Cathedral) – 3 goals.
Most Valuable Player (MVP): Tomori Michael (CCC Rehoboth Cathedral).
Organizer’s Remarks
Speaking after the event, Dr. Bright Winner, convener of Light Vision Global, expressed his appreciation to all 16 participating churches and encouraged future involvement.

At Light Vision Global, our goal is to unite Christians through football and create opportunities for young talents.
