Electoral Committee Disqualifies 11 Persons Ahead Of Ondo State Local Council Elections For Various Reasons

The electoral committee of the Ondo State Football Association has disqualified 11 persons for various reasons.
The Chairman of the Committee,Barr. Olusola Oke, stated this in a statement made available to newsmen on Tuesday in Akure.
According to Oke, the committee unanimously agreed on the decision to disqualify candidates who are not meet up with the electoral guidelines .
Other members of the committee are; Vice Chairman, Barr. Adekunle Ayodeji, Mr Bisi Ayodele, member and Oluwafemi Adeleye Secretary
Oke said the committee sat on the credentials and forms of 64 persons that obtained forms for various positions and after thorough screening process, 11 people were disqualified.
He explained the various reasons which include ; inability to presenting certificates,not being involved in football for three or four years, absences from screening among others.
He stated the disqualified applicants as follows; Tokunbo Akinyelure who vying for the position of Chairman in Idanre Local Government and presented no certificate during screening nor attached any to his submitted form.
Also, Abiodun Mohammed, who took form as Chairman in Akoko North East Local Government had not been involved in football in the last three years and Adeyemi Victor, filled form as Vice Chairman in Ose Local Govt but did not give any residential address in the state and not been involved in any football activities in the state.
The statement added that the following candidates; Salahudeen Sefiu Adeyemi (applied as Secretary) from Odigbo LG, Akinfolarin Orimisan (Applied as member) from Ese Odo, Ogunoye Olalekan Ajibolade
(Applied for Secretary) from Owo LG and Osasono Ojo
(Applied to be Vice Chairman) from Akoko North East were all disqualified due to their absence from screening.
Also, Folorunsho Stephen John
contesting for the post of Vice Chairman in Akure North showed no indication of being involved in football.
Dele Olorundare from Ondo West and
Akinmoladun Bamidele from Idanre,who both applied for the post of Secretary in their Local Governments were also disqualified.
Awosika Olajide who filled form for the post of Vice Chairman from Ondo West was also disqualified for refusal to state or confirm that the information supplied by him were true and also submitted uncompleted form .
Oke assured that the Committee was committed to upholding the electoral guidelines and the statutes of the association.
