NPFL:Nmecha Exudes Optimism Ahead Kwara United Clash

Abia Warriors Football Club of Umuahia has arrived Ilorin, the Kwara State capital ahead of their Nigeria Premier Football League midweek fixture against Kwara United.
Umu Chineke will look to consolidate their victory over reigning Champions, Enugu Rangers, in the last league fixture played at the Umuahia Township Stadium by coming out unscathed in Ilorin.
The Harmony Boys are on a run of impressive home form, and Abia Warriors goal tender, Nmecha Johnson, understands it’s going to be a tough tie, but states that the Warriors are prepared for the clash.
“It’s not going to be an easy game, because we know what we came here for or what we’re here for. So, it’s not going to be easy. Kwara United, they are a good side, and looking at where they are on the table, I think it’s not going to be an easy game, it’s going to be a very tough game which we are very, very prepared for”.
The hosts are tutored by the former Assistant Coach of Abia Warriors, Tunde Sani.They also have in their ranks former Abia Warriors players, Ozor Philip and Jimoh Gbadamosi, and Nmecha is relishing the prospect of playing against his former teammates.
“…It’s a normal thing, it’s football so, players come and go, you get to meet a lot of people and you play games. I know the kind of quality they have so, we are very, very prepared, and we are looking forward to meeting them again”.
Abia Warriors are currently occupying the 4th position on the NPFL table, whereas, Kwara United are occupying the 10th position.
