Two fantastic strikes by Akerekoromwei Janet and Shobowale olushola in the 53rd and 64th minute of play earned Nasarawa Amazons Football Club of Lafia a comfortable hard fought victory over visiting Heartland Queens of Owerri in the matchday 6 fixture of the ongoing Nigeria Womens Premier Football League, played at the Lafia city stadium.
It was a game that lived up to its expectation as spectators got value for their money with the display of skills from both side in the match day 6 game.
Nasarawa Amazons Technical Adviser, Christopher Danjuma, made three vital changes to the side that played against Edo Queens in Benin City lastweek with Mathias Josephine, Ojiyovwi kesiena and Odubanjo Dominance returning to the starting lineup in place of Akekeromowei Janet.
The Lafia Landladies made their intentions known right from kickoff as they dominated proceedings, but they failed to take their chances that came their way.
With time ticking, and as the home side sustained pressure on the Queens of owerri, the first half ended goalless.
In the second half which begins after a little rest, it became evident that the inevitable will happen, and so it did in the 53rd minute of play After substitute Akekeromowei Janet was brought in place of Odubanjo Dominance.

After some crucial changes by the Heartland Queens bench led by Obi Ogbala, the visitors pressed for the equalizer, but they were kept at bay by the solid defense of Nasarawa Amazons.
