AFC Bournemouth created history by winning all three major monthly awards offered by the Premier League, clean sweeping the honors for the month of January. The incredible feat reflects the fine form of the Cherries as they surge through an impressive campaign in the top flight.

Manager of the Month: Andoni Iraola

Andoni Iraola was announced as the Barclays Manager of the Month after guiding Bournemouth through an undefeated month of January; under his astute guidance, the team had three wins and one draw in that period.

The month begun with the Cherries defeating Everton 1-0, a very closely contested game, was followed by another statement performance in a 4-1 demolition away to Newcastle United. Later on, they capped off an excellent run with a resounding win against Nottingham Forest, beating them 5-0 away from home to further consolidate their standing. Iraola’s tactical acumen and his ability to get the best from his squad have been real keys to Bournemouth’s recent success.

Player of the Month: Justin Kluivert

Dutch attacker Justin Kluivert scored an excellent run of form to take the EA SPORTS Player of the Month for the first time. The January transfer window had finally paid dividends for the attacker, who didn’t waste any time getting into action with the Cherries. Kluivert scored five goals and created a further two, becoming an instant mainstay in the front line.

His pace, dribbling ability, and sharp finishing made him a nightmare for defenders, and his contributions were instrumental in Bournemouth’s success throughout the month. These performances have earned the forward praise from both fans and pundits alike as arguably one of the most exciting players in the league.

Goal of the Month: David Brooks

The Guinness Goal of the Month award completed a treble for Bournemouth as midfielder David Brooks earned the accolade for his stunning volley against Everton, a truly sublime moment of exquisite technique and precision.

It was a goal that underlined not just Brooks’ talent but also the kind of high-class football Bournemouth have been producing under Iraola’s stewardship. It was a high point in a month that was full of attacking masterclasses by the Cherries.

A Statement of Intent

This record treble in the Premier League stands to testify to the work at AFC Bournemouth, right from the coaching staff down to the players. It has placed the club in its rightful place as one that is to be taken seriously in the league. And on the back of this high confidence is how they will seek to build in the coming months.
