NPFL25: Hon Amadin Enabulele Promises Bendel Insurance FC Surprise Package As Team Host Katsina UTC

As Bendel Insurance Football Club of Benin are prepared to take on Katsina United on Monday in the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) Matchday22 fixture, the Executive chairman,Edo State Sports Commission Hon. Amadin Desmond Enabulele has promised the team a surprise package just as he solicits support for the team ahead of the Monday clash. Kick off time is 4PM.

 

Hon Enabulele said he was impressed with the performances of the Benin Arsenals and their show of class and determination in the league matchday 21 against Rivers Utd in PortHarcourt on Thursday.

 

The Benin Arsenals were forced to a 2-2 draw by former league champions Rivers United in the match day 21 game at the Adokiye Amiesimaka Stadium,PortHarcourt.The captain of the team Meyinwa Oritseweyinmi and Uche Collins scored early goals to put the host under pressure before the pride of Rivers fought back to get the equalizers.

 

The Edo State Sports Commission boss who expressed confidence in the Benin Arsenals ability to win their first home game in the second round of the league said he has a surprise package for the team and urged the boys not to be complacent when they host their northern opponents.

 

He also called on sports loving Edo people, particularly the Benin city residents to come out enmass and cheer up their darling team on Monday as they continue with the battle for redemption.

 

” I am happy to welcome fans and supporters back to the stadium after serving out the NPFL three match closed doors punishment, following the match day eleven incident with Kano Pillars in Benin on September 11,2024.” He said,urging fans not to allow their actions to affect the club negatively.

 

” I will be happy to have our 12,000 capacity Samuel Ogbemudia stadium filled up on Monday. You can’t separate cans and supporters and the game of football.Enthusiasm and followership are important factors. Come and cheer up your darling team to victory “.

 

Hon Enabulele however appealed to the fans and supporters to eschew violence and hooliganism, and imbibe the culture of discipline and sportsmanship to avoid acts capable of dragging both the name of the club and league in disrepute. “We should know that whatever way we react to bad calls,it will not change referees decision. Our team is now fortified and we play good football and I am confident we will end the season on high

 

The Benin Arsenals are currently occupying the 17th position on the table and have an outstanding game(MD20) with Enyimba FC.

 

Insurance getting the maximum three points against Katsina Utd on the match day 22 fixture on Monday, February 3,2025 in Benin would pull them out of the red zone again.
