It’s a done deal! Chelsea announce the loan of Renato Veiga to the Serie A side, the Portuguese defender spending the season with the Italian giants. This was announced today on the club’s website in an official statement.

The 21-year-old came over to Chelsea from Swiss side FC Basel in July last year, and has since made 18 appearances in all competitions for the Blues. But after struggling to nail down a regular place under Chelsea head coach Enzo Maresca, Veiga pushed for a transfer in an effort to secure some regular minutes.
Juventus, who wanted to shore up their defense, had fended off other European clubs to sign him. Now the young centre-back will get a chance to further his progression in one of Europe’s toughest leagues.
