The Super Eagles of Nigeria have been drawn in Group C for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON), where they will face Tunisia, Uganda, and Tanzania. The draw for the tournament, scheduled to run from December 21, 2025, to January 18, 2026, took place in Rabat, Morocco, on January 27.

Nigeria, three-time AFCON champions, will aim to improve on their runner-up finish in the 2023 edition, where they narrowly lost to Ivory Coast in the final. Group C presents a competitive mix of opponents, with Tunisia standing out as a major rival due to their rich history in African football. Meanwhile, Uganda and Tanzania, though less experienced, will be eager to prove themselves on the big stage and could pose challenges to the Super Eagles.

The tournament opener will be held on December 21, 2025, while the final is set for January 18, 2026, at Rabat’s Prince Moulay Abdellah Stadium. Nigeria will need a strong group-stage performance to secure a favorable path in the knockout rounds as they chase their fourth AFCON title.

Notable teams in the competition include defending champions Ivory Coast, Egypt, Senegal, and host nation Morocco, who are eyeing their first-ever continental crown.
