FC Basira Beat Adamawa United 2-0 In Lafia To Extend Unbeaten Run To Four Games

Lafia based side, FC Basira continued its fairytale in the second tier of Nigeria football as strikes from the duo of Stephen Choji and Ibrahim Adamu made sure the team remains unbeaten after four rounds of matches.
The match began on a high note with both sides pushing to take total control and not long Adamawa United’s resilience paid off in 22nd minutes when Chigozie Ani put the ball in the back of his net following a communication gap between himself and Panshak Silas in goal.
Despite going down FC Basira didn’t sit down as the players threw all they had into the game as both Stephen Choji (45+2) and Adamu Ibrahim (53) got to the end of Ifeanyi Eze’s trademark throwing to through their fans to estacy.
The remaining minutes saw FC Basira exhibit a high level of defensive play to curtail the attacking surge of the opponents as the game went down to the wire.
With this victory, the Aminu Musa tutoured side demonstrated their strength both in attack and resilience, securing yet another important win to top the NNL Conference D with 9 points thereby keeping their dream for a final playoff spot alive.
FC Basira will now have a trip to Kaduna State for the last game of the first stanza against Kada Warriors FC on Saturday, January 25th, 2025 at the Ahmadu Bello Stadium, Kaduna.
