NWFL Round Up:Edo Queens,Robo Queens Record Big Wins As Matchday One Produce 23 Goals.

Twenty-three goals were scored across eight centers on Wednesday as 2025 Nigeria Women football league got underway.

 

In Lafia, debutants Benue Queens got baptism of fire as Robo Queens smashed them 5-1.

 

Favour Nkwocha scored the first goal of the season as she put the Benue-based aside ahead inside the first one minute.

 

Tosin Rafiu restored parity for Robo Queens eight minutes later.

 

Annastasia Emefo’s spotkick gave Robo Queens the lead in the first half of the match.

 

Further goals from Tosin Rafiu,Kemi Adegbuyi and Mariam Yahaya condemned the newest NWFL team to early thrashing.

 

Defending Champions Edo Queens kick-started title defence by hammering Abia Angels 5-0

 

The goals were scored by Miracle Usani,Emem Essien,Goodness Osigwe,Loveth Edeh and Kafayat Mafisere.

 

A stoppage time goal from Shola Shobowale gave Nasarawa Amazons victory over Dannaz ladies.

 

In Anyigba,Remo Stars Ladies came from behind to defeat Confluence Queens.

 

Olasubomi Ogundele,Oluwaseyi Arubo and Olamide Bolaji were the scorers for the Ikenne-based side while Idayat Olanrewaju netted for Confluence Queens.

 

Naija Ratels shared spoils with Adamawa Queens in Gombe.

 

Bayelsa Queens pipped Delta Queens courtesy of late goal from Sefiat Idris.

 

While Rivers Angels beat Newly promoted Ibom Angels by two goals to one.

 

Odunayo Olaleye’s goal gave Ekiti Queens victory over visitors Heartland Queens.
