Super Eagles forward Umar Sadiq was on target as Valencia recorded a 2-0 victory over Ourense CF in their Copa del Rey clash at the Estadio O Couto on Tuesday.
Valencia took the lead five minutes after the break with Fran Carmona slotting the ball into his own net.
Sadiq netted the hosts’ second 12 minutes from time.
It was the Nigeria international’s first goal Los Ches.
The 27-year-old was in action for the entire duration of the game.
Valencia will now shift attention to Sunday’s league clash with Real Sociedad.
