N-Youth League: Chidubem Shines As Sunshine Stars Beat Oyomesi

Sunshine Stars Football Club U-19 have continued their winning ways defeating south-west counterpart, Oyomesi FC 2-0 in their match-day 7 tie of the N-Youth league.

The first goal came in the 16th minute as Christopher Richard pulled a cross to Diji Chidubem who scored with a header.

The game later became intense in the second half as the visitors tried getting an equalizer.

In the 76th minute, Mathew Samuel supplied Chidubem for his brace and to maintain Sunshine Stars 100% record.

Head coach of Sunshine Stars U-19, Olanrewaju Ale said the visitors played with strength but lauded his boys for their resilience.

“The visitors played a good game but my boys were resilient despite the challenges they faced. We will go back and restrategize for more goals at home.

“Currently, we are unbeaten in the League and we hope to keep up the tempo to maintain the first position in the Southern N-Youth Conference.”

Sunshine Stars U-19 lead the table as they look forward to a home game against Enyimba FC U-19 of Aba.
