NYG Asaba 24:Nasarawa Hockey Team Cruise To Final

Team Nasarawa are on the verge of winning their first gold medal for the first time in the last two editions of the National Youth Games after the State’s brave Boys’ Hockey Team pummeled Team Niger 5-2 in their semi-final clash on Tuesday morning at the Okpanan Hockey Pitch, Asaba, where the 8th edition of the National Youth Games is holding.
The Coach Zainab Sule-mentored wards have been in superb form since coming into the competition reserved for athletes below 15 years of age.
They will face Team Kaduna who beat Team Borno 3-1 in the other Semi-final fixture.
The final is slated for Wednesday, 18th September, 2024, in the morning.
So far, Team Nasarawa have won two medals, a Silver in Golf and a Bronze in Para-Shot Put Events.
The 8th National Youth Games will fold up on Thursday, 19th September, 2024, at the Stephen Keshi International Stadium, Asaba, Delta State.
