NURTW Lagos Chairman Named Ambassador Of All Sports Supporters’ Club

In a significant move aimed at strengthening sports development and fan engagement across the country, the All Sports Supporters’ Club of Nigeria, under the leadership of Barrister Johnson Dagana, has officially unveiled the Chairman of the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW), Lagos State Chapter, Alhaji Adekunle Mustapha Sego, as an Ambassador of the prestigious supporters’ body.
The colourful unveiling ceremony brought together sports enthusiasts, stakeholders, and dignitaries, highlighting the importance of collaboration between sports institutions and influential community leaders.

Representing the leadership of the club, the National Deputy President, Alhaji Musiliu Jimoh Alao, formally presented a customized crested jersey of the All Sports Supporters’ Club to the newly appointed ambassador as a symbol of his new role and responsibilities.
Speaking during the presentation, Alhaji Musiliu Jimoh Alao emphasized the strategic importance of the appointment, noting that the inclusion of Alhaji Adekunle Mustapha Sego would further enhance the visibility and grassroots reach of the club.
“Today’s unveiling is not just ceremonial; it is a deliberate step towards strengthening our presence across communities. Alhaji Sego is a respected leader with a strong grassroots connection, and we are confident that his influence will help mobilize more support for Nigerian sports,” he said.
“We believe in building partnerships with individuals who are passionate about unity and national development through sports, and this appointment reflects that vision.”

In his acceptance remarks, Alhaji Adekunle Mustapha Sego expressed deep appreciation to the leadership of the All Sports Supporters’ Club for the honour bestowed upon him, describing the role as both a privilege and a responsibility.
“I am truly honoured to be appointed as an Ambassador of the All Sports Supporters’ Club of Nigeria.
This recognition means a lot to me, and I see it as a call to contribute meaningfully to the growth of sports in our nation,” Sego stated.
“Sports remain a powerful tool for unity, youth engagement, and national pride. I am committed to using my position and network to support the club’s activities and promote positive fan culture across Lagos State and beyond.”
He further assured the club of his readiness to work closely with its leadership to drive initiatives that will encourage greater participation in sports while fostering discipline and unity among supporters.
