The group stage of the Jagaban Cup continued on Friday morning with a thrilling set of fixtures at the Legacy Pitch, producing intense competition and surprising outcomes.
Across four matches, only three goals were scored, underlining the tightly contested nature of the games. However, the biggest headline of the day was the shocking elimination of defending champions, SGFC Athletics.
SGFC Athletics saw their title defense come to an abrupt end after a narrow 1-0 defeat to FC Bethel. Tijani Ridwan emerged as the hero of the encounter, calmly slotting home the decisive goal to seal a famous victory and send Bethel through.
