Hammola Football Club Appoints New Head of Talent ID

Hammola Football Club has announced the appointment of Murtala Abdulahi popularly known as Akoaila to lead its Talent Identification department, bringing on board a wealth of experience and a proven track record in football management and talent development across West Africa.
Abdulahi started with Express International Football Club, Zaria, where he developed a strong foundation that would shape the course of his career. His early experiences at the club played a key role in refining his skills and deepening his understanding of the game.

As his career progressed, he went on to contribute his expertise to a number of respected teams across the region. His professional path includes impactful stints with Liberte FC, AS Douanes in Niamey, Olympic FC, AS Sonidep also based in Niamey, and Renaissance FC in Niamey.
Throughout these roles, he has steadily built a reputation and earned valuable experience across different teams and competitive environments.
Reacting to his appointment, the club said that “This well-deserved recognition marks not only a personal achievement but also a significant milestone for the entire Hammola Football Club.”
Reflecting on his diverse experience across Nigeria and Niger, they added, “Over the years, he has built an impressive résumé, working with notable teams.”
In his new role, Abdulahi will be responsible for discovering and developing promising talents, as well as strengthening the club’s recruitment structure.
