Edi 1 FC of Ayakoro have qualified for the next round of Nigeria’s biggest grassroots football tournament, the Bayelsa Governor’s Football Tournament tagged the Prosperity Cup.
Edi 1 FC pummeled Hummels Jnr FC of Otuokpoti by three goals to nil to keep their hopes of qualifying for the round of 32 intact. Captain Super gave the Ayakoro side the lead on 30 minutes from a gifted header. Armstrong Junior doubled the scoreline on 56 minutes from a perfect finish while James Christopher made it 3-0 on 69 minutes, having wasted scoring chances in the game.
Diamond FC of Okodi in the last match at the Otuokpoti centre, triumphed three nil over Okodi FC, to set up the final centre tie on Friday 20th March, 2026 against Edi 1 FC.
