All participating clubs have been reminded of the mandatory requirements for the 2026 Nationwide League One Pre-competition Medical Assessment (PCMA) Exercise.

The Nigerian apex regulatory body for grassroot football league takes the health and safety of athletes in the sport as its top priority.

In ensuring a seamless and organised process, clubs have been advised of the following strict eligibility criteria that must be met before any individual is cleared to undergo the medical screening.

Evidence of Payment tops the list of requirements, as only clubs that have fully settled their registration and participation fees for the 2026 season will be scheduled for the PCMA.

Player Licenses Collection, follows, as only clubs that have completed their registration process and are in physical possession of their official player licenses, are eligible for the process.

The NLO warns that no player will be screened without a valid, NLO-issued license presented at the point of medical assessment.

It further states that any club that arrives at the screening centre without meeting the two above requirements will be turned back. As there will be no exceptions to the directive to ensure that it maintains the integrity of its medical records and league documentation.

Finally, all clubs have been urged to finalise their payments or pick up their licenses by visiting the NLO Secretariat or their respective Zonal Offices immediately to avoid being excluded from the medical exercise.
