Emififen Yolanda Pinnick, the 10-year-old daughter of renowned Nigerian sports administrator Amaju Melvin Pinnick, delivered a stunning performance at the inaugural World School Games Olympia 2026, winning multiple medals and solidifying her status as a rising young star in global school sports.
Amaju Melvin Pinnick, a respected figure in African and global football governance—former President of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) and current board member of the Federation Internationale de Football Association (FIFA)—expressed pride in his daughter’s achievements.
Organised as the flagship event of the World School Games series and hosted at the world-class Aspire Zone Stadium in Doha, Qatar, the three-day multisport festival brought together promising young athletes from elite international schools to compete in athletics, football and more. Competitions were held across age groups, providing a world-stage platform for youth talent to excel.
Emififen’s landmark achievements include:
Gold Medal — 60 metres sprint (U13 athletics)
Gold Medal — 4×200m relay

The World School Games Olympia 2026 was launched to create a global platform where student-athletes can compete, learn and forge international friendships while representing their schools and countries, and this year’s edition drew participants from over 30 schools across seven countries.

The 2026 edition marked its first staging in Doha, featuring under-11, under-13 and under-15 age categories.
