‎Danish Superliga side Brøndby IF have officially confirmed the signing of Nigerian international forward Emmanuel Dennis on a free transfer, strengthening their attacking options ahead of the coming seasons.

‎The 28-year-old striker, who has been without a club since parting ways with English Premier League outfit Nottingham Forest last summer, has penned a long-term contract with Brøndby IF that will keep him at the club until the summer of 2028.

‎The club announced the deal on Thursday via its official website, with Football Director Benjamin Schmedes revealing that Dennis earned the move after an impressive trial period.

‎According to Schmedes, the Nigerian forward showcased qualities that immediately caught the attention of the technical crew.

‎“Emmanuel has shown us over the past week with all the clarity we could wish for that he possesses skills that can give us more opportunities offensively—qualities you don’t necessarily see every day in the Super League.

‎ He has pace, strong breakthrough power, and has demonstrated that he is a real threat in front of goal.

‎Just as important, Emmanuel has clearly expressed a strong desire to be at Brøndby and has shown he is ready to put in the work required to succeed here. Combined with his experience at a high international level, we believe we are getting a truly exciting player.”

‎Dennis, who has earned eight caps for the Nigerian national team, also shared his excitement after sealing the move, describing the opportunity as a fresh and motivating chapter in his career.

‎“I am very happy to have signed with the club. I’ve watched video clips of the fans—their energy is amazing, and I feel I match that energy as well. I really appreciate the club for giving me this opportunity, and I’m very excited to get started. Hopefully, we will achieve great things together.”

‎Reflecting on his trial period and early integration with the squad, Dennis spoke warmly about the atmosphere within the team.

‎“The first week with the boys was fantastic. We found chemistry very quickly. They welcomed me so well that it felt like we had known each other for years. I felt the love immediately, which made the move even more attractive. Everyone was kind and supportive, and I can’t wait to play alongside them.”

‎Dennis will wear the number 17 jersey at Brøndby IF.

‎He is currently in England finalizing his residence and work permit documentation and is expected to officially join the squad once the process is completed, which the club anticipates will be concluded in February.

‎A seasoned journeyman, Dennis brings a wealth of experience to Brøndby IF, having previously featured for several clubs across Europe, including Club Brugge, FC Köln, Blackburn Rovers, İstanbul Başakşehir, and Watford.
