‎Ajegunle FC and Kamal FC played out an entertaining 1-1 draw in a fiercely contested Match day 6 at the Hammola Football Championship.

‎The game started at a lively pace, with Kamal FC showing early intent. Just three minutes in, they registered the first attempt of the match, though the effort drifted wide and served as an early warning to Ajegunle FC. The response from Ajegunle was swift and aggressive, led by their lively forward Toheeb Adeleke, who caused constant problems for Kamal’s defense throughout the first half.

‎In the 10th minute, Adeleke burst forward with purpose and delivered a dangerous cross into the penalty area, but Kamal FC goalkeeper Kayode Afolabi read the play perfectly and collected the ball comfortably. Two minutes later, Adeleke found himself one-on-one with Kamal FC’s last defender. Rather than driving into the box, he opted for a long-range effort that sailed wide, leaving Ajegunle FC ruing another missed opportunity.

‎Ajegunle FC continued to pile on the pressure, and in the 21st minute they came agonizingly close to opening the scoring. A well-worked move resulted in a clear chance, but once again Afolabi proved equal to the task, reacting sharply to push the ball out for a corner kick. Kamal FC nearly punished Ajegunle for their missed chances shortly after. In the 23rd minute, a Kamal FC free kick flashed across the face of goal and was met with a powerful header that rattled the post, drawing gasps from the spectators.

‎The breakthrough finally arrived in the 28th minute. Ajegunle FC’s persistence paid off when Jamiu Issa found the back of the net, calmly finishing to give his side a deserved 1–0 lead. The goal lifted Ajegunle FC’s confidence, and they almost doubled their advantage in the 37th minute after breaking quickly from a Kamal FC corner. The counterattack was swift and well-executed, but the striker failed to connect with the final pass, allowing Afolabi to gather the loose ball and keep Kamal FC in the contest.

‎Just when Ajegunle FC appeared set to go into the break ahead, Kamal FC struck back. In the 45th minute, a cross from the center caused confusion in the Ajegunle FC defense. An attempted clearance with a header rolled backwards into the path of Kamal FC striker Moses Olaegbe, who reacted instinctively and unleashed a powerful volley into the net to level the score. The first half ended with both teams locked at 1-1.

‎The second half saw fewer clear-cut chances, but the intensity never dropped. Ajegunle FC came closest to regaining the lead in the 70th minute when a fierce shot looked destined for the net, only for Afolabi to produce yet another superb save, tipping the ball over the bar for a corner. The Kamal FC goalkeeper was undoubtedly one of the standout performers of the match.

‎As the game entered its closing stages, Ajegunle FC had the biggest chance to win it. In the 86th minute, a golden opportunity came through, but under pressure, the shot was blazed into the crowd, summing up a frustrating morning of missed opportunities for Ajegunle FC and the final whistle confirmed a 1-1 draw.
