Embavic FC Dream Big Ahead of DOF Unity Cup Grand Finale

‎As anticipation builds ahead of Sunday’s Grand Finale of the DOF Unity Cup, the head coach of Embavic FC, Iyinola Olakunle popularly known as Kunlento has expressed strong optimism and gratitude as his team prepares for the season-defining showdown.

‎Embavic FC booked their place in the final after edging past Senegaltech FC with a hard-fought 1–0 victory in the semi-final encounter. The narrow win underscored the team’s resilience, tactical discipline, and growing confidence throughout the competition.

‎The much-anticipated final will take place on Sunday, December 28, at the Okitipupa Government Field, where Embavic FC will aim to crown their impressive debut campaign with silverware.

‎Speaking ahead of the clash, Kunlento gave thanks for the journey so far, describing the achievement as a special milestone in his first appearance in a DOF-organised competition.

‎“I am very grateful to God for allowing my team to scale through to the final. This is my first time participating in a DOF competition, and reaching the final means a lot to me,” he said.

‎The Embavic FC boss also reserved special praise for his players, urging them to maintain the same level of commitment and belief that has carried them from the group stage to the final.

‎“I expect my players to continue proving themselves the way they have done since the group stage. Special kudos to my defenders and goalkeeper for keeping clean sheets throughout the tournament. My midfielders and attackers also deserve credit for their contribution to our scoring line.”

‎With momentum on their side and confidence running high within the camp, Embavic FC will head into Sunday’s final determined to finish strong and make history in the DOF Unity Cup.
