Victory All-Stars Wins Inaugural Beniangba All-Stars Competition

Victory All-Stars of Okutukutu have emerged champions of the inaugural edition of the One-day Beniangba All-Stars Football Tournament among All-Stars teams in Bayelsa State.
The competition which was decided at the Kpansia Field saw eight All-stars sides in action for the tournament.
The victorious Victory All-Stars beat Kolga All-Stars of Kolokuma-Opokuma Local Government Area 7-6 on penalties to lift the trophy and the star prize of two hundred thousand naira (₦200,000) after a barren draw. Second-placed Kolga All-Stars went home with one hundred and fifty thousand naira (₦150,000)
Gbarain All-Stars defeated stubborn Edepie All-Stars 5-3 via penalty shout-out after a goalless draw to settle for third position and smiled to the bank with one hundred thousand naira (₦100,000).
Stanley Due-ere of Gbarain All-Stars and Pere Legtor of Victory All-Stars respectively won the highest goal scorer prize money of fifty thousand naira (₦50,000) while Dift Edike emerged the Most Valuable Player of the tournament going home with fifty thousand naira (₦50,000).
The father of the convener whose tournament was named after Mr. Payebouye Beniangba in an address, commended the various participating teams for the show of professionalism throughout the tournament, particularly the champions, Victory All-Stars, describing all the teams as winners.
An elated, Victory Beniangba in his remark, appreciated the Organizing Committee led by Charles Peletiri and his friends for the delivery of a smooth tournament, stating that he was pleased with the turnout for the competition, pointing out that beyond the prize money that the competition has brought frenzy and camaraderie among players in the State.
While congratulating the champions, Victory All-Stars for their triumph, the Jong Genk forward lauded his parents, coaches and friends for the show of solidarity and support throughout the tournament.
Earlier, chairman of the Planning Committee, Comr. Charles Peletiri, thanked members of his committee for their immense contribution towards the programme.
The eight participating teams are: Gbarain All-Stars; All-Stars International; Royal All-Stars; Great Assembly All-Stars; Kpanisa All-Stars; Kolga All-Stars; Edepie All-Stars and champions, Victory All-Stars of Okutukutu.
