Dembélé Crowned FIFA Best Men’s Player After Historic PSG Season ‎

‎Paris Saint-Germain and France forward Ousmane Dembélé has been named FIFA Best Men’s Player of the Year, capping a remarkable 2024–25 season with one of football’s most prestigious individual honours.

‎The 28-year-old, who had already lifted the Ballon d’Or in September, received the FIFA accolade at a glittering ceremony in Qatar on Tuesday.

‎ His triumph follows a sensational campaign in which he played a central role in PSG’s historic success, helping the club secure four trophies across all competitions.

‎Dembélé was in outstanding form for Luis Enrique’s side, recording an impressive 51 goal contributions in 53 appearances. His influence proved decisive as PSG clinched their first-ever UEFA Champions League title, a landmark achievement that strengthened his claim for global recognition.

‎The former Barcelona and Borussia Dortmund winger, who joined PSG in 2023, edged out Barcelona sensation Lamine Yamal and Real Madrid superstar Kylian Mbappé to claim the coveted award.

‎Dembélé attended the ceremony just a day before PSG’s Intercontinental Cup final clash against Flamengo on Wednesday, underlining his importance to the club on the world stage.

‎The FIFA Best award covers performances between August 2024 and August 2025 and is decided by votes from men’s national team coaches, national team captains, journalists, and fans worldwide.

‎His victory further cements his status as one of the game’s elite players. Although Dembélé endured a slow start to the 2024–25 campaign, his season was transformed after being redeployed as a central forward  a tactical switch that unlocked his full potential and propelled him to the pinnacle of world football.
