Chiamaka Nnadozie has once again reaffirmed her dominance between the sticks after winning the Women’s Best Goalkeeper of the Year award for the third consecutive time at the 2025 CAF Awards held on Sunday night.
The achievement underscores a phenomenal year for the Brighton & Hove Albion shot-stopper, who continues to rise as one of the world’s most exceptional goalkeepers.
Nnadozie first claimed the inaugural edition of the award in 2023 and successfully defended it in 2024, making her 2025 triumph a historic hat-trick.
At just 24, Nnadozie has built a reputation as a commanding presence for both club and country.
Her outstanding performances were pivotal during the 2024 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON), where she played a crucial role in helping the Super Falcons secure a record-extending 10th continental title.
On the club scene, Nnadozie impressed during her final season with Paris FC, guiding the team to victory in the Coupe de Féminine in May before securing a transfer to the English Women’s Super League. Her consistency and elite-level displays throughout the year earned her widespread global recognition.
In another landmark moment, the Nigerian goalkeeper was shortlisted for the 2025 Yachine Trophy, becoming the first African goalkeeper male or femaleto receive a nomination for the prestigious global award.
Nnadozie’s latest CAF honour not only cements her legacy as Africa’s finest goalkeeper but also marks her continued ascent on the world football stage.
